PECKWATER Playboys booked a place in the quarter-finals of the Chalk Farm Pool League Liam Tarrant Cup on Monday night with a great win over Cock Tavern.

Doubles pairing Paul Smith and Charlie Wood added the finishing touches to a rousing team display as the Kentish Town-based side (pictured above) chalked up a resounding 5-1 victory.

Cock Tavern’s Michael Johnson  managed to leave his mark on the game, however, after putting in arguably the best individual display of the night to pot a total clearance.

Elsewhere, there was also big win for Sir Robert Peel, who beat Peckwater TA 5-0.

King’s Cross Hurricanes and Cousins Elite ran out 5-1 victors in their respective matches against Boston Old Skool and Regent’s Park TA. DOB Dynamos, King’s Cross Hawks, King’s Cross Invaders and Golden Lion also all progressed.
