Dr Jeroen Ensink, killed in random attack

Published: 27 January, 2017

• THE death of Dr Jeroen Ensink is a tragedy that would not have happened if we had a fully-funded mental health service (Knife tragedy: lessons aren’t learned, January 20). There are other local people with serious mental health conditions who are not being admitted for care that would treat them, help their families and protect the public.

The mental health service has taken much of the brunt of NHS cuts. We call on this government to stop the sustainability and transformation cuts plans and to fund our NHS properly so that it meets our physical and mental health needs.

We are supporting the Save/Defend our NHS March on March 4. Do join us.
