• LONDON’S canals are enjoying a renaissance (Floating homes plan fuels towpath war, September 7). We are aware of the popularity of moorings at Noel Road. We’re talking to local groups about the options and welcome public debate and ideas for affordable, practical solutions. One suggestion is to create residential moorings at the site, which would have less impact on the canal’s neighbours than existing visitor moorings used by a large number of different boats, and to look at the possibility of establishing new visitor moorings elsewhere in Islington.
If you want to tell us your views on Noel Road, email consultation @canalrivertrust.org.uk. Visit our website to learn about volunteering or take a look at our appeal to help Hanover Primary School create a community garden at City Road Basin at canalrivertrust.org.uk/get-involved/appeals.
