Homelessness charity opens new café in Finsbury Park

Published: 19 February, 2016

HOMELESSNESS charity Crisis has opened a shop and café in the heart of Finsbury Park.

It will provide volunteering opportunities for homeless people and help fund the charity’s nationwide work.

Crisis opened its first shop in Hackney last year and plans to open another eight across the UK over the next two years.

Sarah Farquhar, Crisis director of business development, said: “Lack of work is a major cause and consequence of homelessness. Gaining on-the-job experience at our shops will help clients who are finding their way into employment. Meanwhile, people can shop with us knowing that the money we raise supports our vital work.”
